Noma Terms of Use

Last updated:

These terms of use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Noma mobile app and web version (together, “Noma”). By using Noma, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Noma.

01Publisher and contact

Noma is published by Mathis TIMOTEI, a French sole proprietor trading as Timotei Co (“Timotei Co”, “we”).

For any question about Noma or these Terms, write to noma@timotei.co.

02Purpose and access

Noma offers logic puzzles, tutorials, a level campaign, daily puzzles and progression features. The core game is free and shows ads. An internet connection may be needed to download the app, receive updates, display ads or make purchases.

You need a compatible device, system and connection, and you must comply with the rules of the store from which you obtained the app.

03License and store terms

Timotei Co grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use Noma for private, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not transfer ownership of Noma or its content.

If you downloaded Noma from Apple’s App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (standard EULA). If you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. These Terms supplement those store terms; where they conflict, the store terms prevail for the licensing of the app.

04In-app purchases

Noma offers optional in-app purchases, including a one-time “Remove ads” purchase that stops ads from being shown. Prices are displayed in the app and in the store before you confirm, in your local currency and including applicable taxes.

Payment is processed by Apple or Google, and charged to your store account upon confirmation. Timotei Co never receives your payment card details.

Purchases are linked to your store account. You can restore them on a new device or after reinstalling the app with the “Restore purchases” button. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

05Infinite mode subscription

Infinite mode is an optional auto-renewable subscription (“Mode infini mensuel” / monthly Infinite mode) that unlocks an unlimited supply of puzzles for every game. Its price and duration are shown in the app before you subscribe.

  • Length: one month, renewed automatically for successive one-month periods.
  • Free trial: eligible new subscribers may get a 3-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and the monthly price is charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • Payment: payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial.
  • Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price then in effect.
  • Managing and cancelling:you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your account settings on the App Store (Settings › your name › Subscriptions) or on Google Play (Play Store › Payments & subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period already paid. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
  • Price changes: if the price changes, you will be informed in advance by the store and, where required, asked to accept the new price before the next renewal.

06Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

  • circumvent game rules to falsify a score, progress, reward or result, or to obtain paid features without paying;
  • use bots, scripts, scrapers or other automated means to access the service, create excessive load or extract content in bulk;
  • decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, modify or attempt to access the source code, except where expressly permitted by mandatory law or an applicable open-source license;
  • copy, resell, rent, redistribute or commercially exploit Noma, its levels, artwork or data without authorization;
  • harm the security or operation of Noma, infringe the rights of the publisher or third parties, or use Noma unlawfully.

07Scores and progress

Noma may display times, scores, estimated rankings, streaks and progression levels for entertainment. They are calculated or stored on your device and are not an official ranking between users.

This data may be lost if the app or its data is deleted, the device is changed, a failure occurs or compatibility is lost. Noma has no user accounts and Timotei Co does not guarantee remote backup of progress. Purchases remain restorable through your store account.

08Intellectual property

Noma, its brand, visual identity, interfaces, text, artwork, puzzles, levels, content selections and arrangements, and proprietary code are protected by intellectual-property rights. Only the use authorized by the license above is permitted.

Open-source libraries and fonts remain governed by their own licenses, listed in the app on the “Open-source licenses” page. These Terms do not restrict rights granted by those licenses.

09Availability and liability

Timotei Co aims to provide a functional and secure game but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, updates, outages, store constraints or events beyond its control may affect Noma.

To the extent permitted by law, Timotei Co is liable only for direct and foreseeable damage caused by a breach attributable to it. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be limited, including for personal injury, gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or mandatory consumer rights.

Puzzles and guidance are provided for entertainment and are not professional advice.

10Changes to Noma and these terms

Noma and its features may change to improve gameplay, security or compliance. Timotei Co may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the service. If a paid feature is discontinued while you have an active subscription, reasonable notice will be given and you will not be charged for future periods.

These Terms may also change. The date at the top of this page will be updated and, for a material change, appropriate notice will be given in the app.

11Governing law and complaints

These Terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of any more protective mandatory provisions of their country of residence.

For questions or complaints, first email noma@timotei.co with details of the issue. An amicable solution will be sought. Otherwise, the competent courts are determined by applicable law; consumers are not required to waive their legally competent court.

Personal data is handled as described in the Noma Privacy Policy.
